The seventh edition of the Only Watch charity auction, organised by the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy and the Monaco Yacht Show, will take place in Geneva on 11th November. With over 25 million euros raised since 2005, Only Watch is one of the largest charity events in the watchmaking industry's calendar.

TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45

The Connected Modular 45 is the first modular TAG Heuer luxury watch, featuring the Swiss Made mark. This Only Watch version is paired with a yellow strap and bezel. This is a genuine luxury Swiss watch, designed, developed and assembled in Switzerland by TAG Heuer and in collaboration with Intel: water-resistant to 50 metres, it features GPS, an NFC payment sensor with Android Pay, a stunning high-definition AMOLED screen, and a selection of infinitely customisable TAG Heuer dials. It has all what the last generation of Android Wear 2.0 has to offer, with a new TAG Heuer Companion app which allows to personalize the watch with the preferred app.

The Connected Modular 45 features an original concept which is brand new in the field of connected watches: the connected module is interchangeable with an Haute Horlogerie mechanical module – a 3-hand watch or COSC-certified Chronograph Tourbillon. This exclusive Only Watch box set contains the Tourbillon module. It is complimented by yellow hands and indexes, touches which make this piece unique. The back of the timepiece is engraved "Only Watch 7^th edition – 2017” with the number “Only Watch 1/1", to enhance the unique timepiece.

The Heuer-02T COSC Chronograph Tourbillon movement was designed and developed entirely at TAG Heuer. A skeleton movement, low-inertia tourbillon designed in carbon and titanium (the only one currently on the market), it comprises 284 components, has a diameter of 31 mm (13 ¾’’ lignes), a thickness of 6.9 mm and a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations/hour), with a power reserve of 65 hours. Its design — deliberately conceived with the strategic aim of falling below the CHF 15,000 mark — was launched in 2015. For this to be possible, every team within the manufacture (engineers, watchmakers, designers, purchasing, production) was involved in the process to enable costs to be optimised at each stage. Thanks to this synergy, the challenge was successfully met, and the finished piece was unveiled at BaselWorld 2016.In the Swiss watchmaking industry, this price of CHF 14,900 for a Tourbillon watch is a highly competitive one. It is in line with Jean-Claude Biver's desire — and the strategy he put in place — to make TAG Heuer the leader in accessible luxury.
